Welcome. This training is built for Soldiers separating on a short timeline. You will leave with a simple plan for the first 30–90 days after separation and a 72-hour checklist to stabilize fast.
You will walk away with:
• One-Page Transition Plan (budget + bill system + first civilian paycheck priorities)
• 72-hour checklist (your first three actions)
• Debt/credit triage (what to handle first so it doesn’t spiral)
• If injured: VA next-step checklist (what to initiate and what documents to keep)
Quick note: This program is educational and does not replace installation resources such as ACS Financial Readiness or TAP.
Part 1: Stabilize the First 30 Days — banking, bills, spending control
Part 2: First Civilian Paycheck Plan — priorities for your first job paycheck
Part 3: Debt & Credit Triage — stop late fees and collections from snowballing
Part 4: Housing & Transportation Guardrails — avoid bad leases and bad car deals
Part 5: VA Injury Benefits Overview — what to do next if you were injured on active duty
Part 6: Transition Plan Build — we complete most of your plan during the session
If you were injured or developed a condition while on active duty, you may qualify for VA benefits. During training, we cover the immediate next steps so you know what to initiate and what documents to keep.
VA topics covered (overview):
• VA disability compensation for service-connected conditions
• VA health care enrollment basics
• Employment support options (VR&E) if a disability impacts your ability to work
Important: This is educational. For claims filing and representation, use VA-accredited resources.
Before you leave C Battery, you should complete these three actions:
If injured: gather and safeguard copies of your medical documents and separation paperwork.
If you choose to opt in, follow-up support is available after separation:
• 30 / 60 / 90 days
• Then quarterly check-ins up to 12 months
These touchpoints are designed to confirm progress, adjust your plan, and prevent small problems from turning into crises.
